HourbyHourWEST MICHIGAN — (Apr. 5, 2014) Temperatures started out chilly Saturday morning as light snow flurries left a slippery dusting across the surfaces in West Michigan. Breezy winds out of the west-northwest dropped feel-like temperatures into the teens in many areas making for an unseasonably chilly morning. Sunshine however will help slowly warm temperatures throughout the day. Skies will gradually clear throughout the day today but winds will remain breezy gusting in excess of 25 miles per hour. Temperatures will slowly warm through the afternoon into the low to mid 40’s.

Clear skies and calm winds will lead to another chilly evening Saturday as overnight low temperatures will drop into the upper 20’s and low 30’s. But despite the cool start to Sunday morning sunshine and light winds will help warm temperatures back into the low to mid 50’s, which is around seasonably average.

Winds will become more southwesterly Monday bringing in moisture ahead of another system which will bring chances for light rain in the evening hours Monday. As temperatures drop Monday night and a cold front swings through temperatures will likely drop near or below freezing allowing any rain that is still present to transition into light snow flurries.
