Dead Woman ID’d After Wrong-Way Crash On Northbound U.S. 131

US 131 AXCUTLERVILLE, Mich. (April 6, 2014)- One person has died after a wrong-way crash on northbound U.S. 131 near M-6 in Cutlerville on Sunday morning.

According to the Michigan State Police, a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a 33-year-old woman from Wyoming was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 131. The Cobalt struck a Buick Park Avenue, driven by a 41-year-old man from Grand Rapids, that was traveling the correct way on U.S. 131.

The 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. On Monday night, the Michigan State Police identified her as Teresa Osburn, 33, of Wyoming, Mich.

The crash happened at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The driver of the Buick was taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious injuries. Two passengers in the Buick also were injured and taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.

U.S. 131 was shut down for more than four hours Sunday morning as Michigan State Police investigated the crash.
