Woman Who Died in U.S. 131 Crash Identified

Osburn – TeresaCUTLERVILLE, Mich. (April 6, 2014) – Michigan State Police have identified the woman killed in a wrong-way crash on U.S. 131 over the weekend.

According to the Michigan State Police, a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Teresa Osburn, 33, of Wyoming, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 131 at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say the Cobalt struck a Buick Park Avenue driven by a 41-year-old man from Grand Rapids who was traveling the correct way on the highway.

Osburn was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Buick was taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious injuries. Two passengers in the Buick also were injured and taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.

U.S. 131 was shut down for more than four hours Sunday morning as MSP investigated the crash.
