Rustic Market proceeds benefit those at Pine Rest.

CUTLERVILLE, Mich. (April 09, 2014) — If it’s been years since you visited Rustic Market on 68th Street in Cutlerville, you recall shopping for great bargains in the nicely refinished, tight quarters of a barn. Well, six years ago that all changed. That basement is still buzzing with activity, but its countless volunteers sorting donated goods.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of those wanting their gently loved goods benefiting a good cause, Rustic Market added on a 6,000 square feet retail location right next door. The upstairs of the old barn is used for storage.

Just like many retail stores, there is a mission behind the bargains. All proceeds from Rustic Market benefit the Christian mental health facility Pine Rest and its Patient Assistance Fund (PAF). Those who need the care from Pine Rest and don’t have insurance or other means to pay can receive care thanks to you who donate and buy at the Rustic Market.

Even with the Rustic Market expansion, a second retail location was recently added. Pine Rest Thrift Store recently opened in the old Michael’s Craft Store on 28th Street just east of Breton Road SE.

As if the deals aren’t already great enough, every week there are even deeper discounts on goods. For instance, this week through April 12, all children’s clothing and shoes are just 50 cents at both stores. You can find all weekly deals by following them on Facebook or by snagging a monthly list up by the cash register.

Both stores area always in need of volunteers to not only help sort the goods but to run cash register and to keep the locations looking tidy. If you are interested, please call (616)455-2522. Also, remember to bring your unwanted items to one of the locations to donate. Click on their links to find the times.
