WYOMING, Mich. — Gordy’s Market & Deli, a fixture for years on South Division, has announced that it will close next month.

An employee confirmed to FOX 17 NEWS that the store will shut down for good on Saturday, May 3. The announcement was made to employees Tuesday.

Gordy’s is located at 4241 Division Ave. South in Wyoming — not far from the site of a new Wal-Mart Supercenter currently under construction.

The store has been in business since the 1970s.

I always enjoyed their Fried food takeout – we'll cooked, good food and reasonably priced. I am sure in that area of town they will be missed.

    That “store” is a dump!
Back in the 70s it was okay-
Then it started going down hill, The prices were high, Never any sales, But the fried food was good but still, the store looked grubby, Plus, they allowed their employees to smoke in the store somewhere because it reeked of it at times! ack!
