GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (April 13, 2014) — When he saw his friend Dustin Coyler fight – and beat – cancer 5 times, Nate Smith knew he had to do something. That’s when he started the DC Strong movement which aims to help kids going through the same thing. DC Strong provides toys, mentors and fellowship, and aims to stay with the patients til they have won their fight. The group has released a new video describing their journey and their goals, and has gotten a big boost from nationally-known rock act Shinedown.
