Battle Creek Police: Van Hits School Bus, Drives Off

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (April 14, 2014) — Police are looking for a man who they say struck a Battle Creek Public School bus with his minivan Monday then drove off.

The incident happened at about 3:15 p.m. in the area of Angel and Laffayette Street.  The bus driver and 14 children on the bus were not injured, according to police.

Police said the bus was stopped at the train tracks when it was rear-ended by a blue minivan.

The van’s driver was described as a white male in his 30s.  No other details were provided.
