KALAMAZOO, Mich. (April 17, 2014) — Downtown Kalamazoo Incorporated has adopted the Parkmobile app to give people the ability to pay for parking using their phones.

Using the Parkmoble app, drivers can pay for parking without fumbling for quarters or worrying about the meter running out. The service will be available at all downtown Kalamazoo meters using iPhones, Android phones, Windows phones, and Blackberries. Transactions can also be done via a toll-free number and online.

Parking officers carry a handheld device that identifies vehicles that are using Parkmobile. A fee of 35 cents is added to the parking charge at the end of the parking session.
