Suspect Arrested, Man Sought in Albion Shooting

ALBION, Mich (April 18, 2014) – Investigators with the Albion Department of Public Safety say one suspect is in custody and one person is wanted for questioning following a shooting on Thursday.

Officer responded to a call of shots fired in the 900 block of Boyd Drive around 5:00 p.m.  Officers found several rounds had been fired hitting a vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

Investigators say a 21-year-old Albion was taken into custody, and is awaiting charges in connection to the shooting in the Calhoun County Jail.

Investigators say they’re also looking for 24-year-old Demetrius Laray Mitchell of Albion for questioning in connection to the shooting.  He’s around 6’2″, 180 lbs.
