GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (April 18, 2014) — The trend for the Easter weekend forecast keeps looking better around West Michigan.

After a clearing, but slightly cooler Friday, we’ll warm temperatures back to around 60° Saturday afternoon. As the above image from FOX 17 Future Track HD indicates, we should see nearly perfect sunshine for much of the day Saturday.

Previous forecasts had brought some showers into West Michigan Sunday, limiting temperatures a bit.  However, it now looks like most of that rain will stay off to our north for Easter Sunday, allowing for partly sunny and dry conditions along with temperatures that may push 70° across the southern half of the FOX 17 viewing area.

The continued dry weather is good for areas along the Muskegon and other rivers that are still seeing significant flooding.  River levels will gradually drop through the weekend, and any rain on Sunday is not expected to have a major impact on those levels.  Click here to check the latest updates from the National Weather Service.
