Deputies: Children Found In Home During Drug Raid

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (April 26, 2014)- A two young children were found inside a home after authorities executed a search warrant at home in Emmett Township.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, deputies along with the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety executed a search warrant in the 900 block of East Golden Avenue. The search warrant was issued after a lengthy investigation into drug sales being conducted at the residence.

The Calhoun County Special Response Team executed the search warrant and discovered two adults and two small children inside the home. Deputies discovered cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills were found inside the house. Two vehicles and nearly $4,000 were sized from the home.

A warrant is being sought for the suspect, a 43-year-old Emmett township man, for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver analogues.

Child Protective Services has been notified about the children inside the home and will conduct a further investigation.
