3 Companies Bringing Nearly 450 Jobs to West Michigan

Screen shot 2014-04-30 at 5.20.48 PMWEST MICHIGAN (April 30, 2014) — Three companies anticipate bringing a total of 446 new jobs to West Michigan over the next several years, according to the economic development organization The Right Place.

According to a release, NOVO 1, Inc., Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch and INglass will invest roughly $52 million in the area over the next four years.

A large portion of that anticipated financial investment comes from Herbruck’s Poultry, which is planning a $33 million expansion in Saranac.  The Right Place said that the company is expected to create 50 new jobs over the next three years.

INglass, an Italian-based company, is opening a new facility at 720 74th St. SW in Byron Center.  The facility will employ an anticipated 109 people over the next four years and invest roughly $17.6 million in West Michigan.

“The new location will establish the company’s first Michigan presence for its HRSflow division, dedicated to manufacturing hot runner systems for plastic injection molding,” a release said.

NOVO 1, Inc. is planning to invest $1.5 million in a call center at 2905 Lucerne SE in Cascade Township.  This will create an expected 287 jobs over the next three years, according to The Right Place release.

NOVO 1 received a $550,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program.  INglass and Herbruck’s received grants for $300,000 and $500,000 respectively from the MBDP.
