Guns, Swords Stolen in Home Invasions

generic-police-lights5 picST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich (April 30, 2014) – Deputies with the St. Joesph County Sheriff’s Office are investigating two separate breaking and entering complaints, the latest happening on Tuesday.

Investigators were called to a home in the 51000 block of Cove Road in Mendon Township after someone broke into a home and stole two swords, a BB gun, a safe and coins.  Deputies believe the home invasion happened between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on April 29.

Another home invasion was reported Monday in the 200 block of 1st Street.  Two handguns, a shotgun, a DVD player and a radio were stolen.  Deputies say the home invasion could have happened between November 2013 and April 28 while the no one was at the residence.
