Second Suspect Tied to Armed Robbery Shooting in Custody

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich (April 30, 2014) – Online records show a second suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery where the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder is now in police custody.

On April 23, The Muskegon Heights Police Department announced arrest warrants for 18-year-old Diaunte Diquan Johnson and 19-year-old Kevin Darnell McBride Jr. for felony charges stemming from an armed robbery in the 2000 block of Manz Street on April 22.

38-year-old Keith McBride, McBride Jr.’s cousin, was shot in the shoulder during an armed robbery.  He was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

Online court records show Johnson was booked into the Muskegon County Jail today.  Jail records also show McBride Jr. was arrested on Saturday.

Both Johnson and McBride Jr. are expected to face charges for armed robbery.  McBride Jr. is also charged with assault with intent to murder and weapons violations, accused of shooting his cousin.
