MASON TOWNSHIP, Mich (May 1, 2014) – A Union man is dead after a crash involving a pickup truck and a semi in Mason Township today.
Deputies say 54-year-old Jon Stone was behind the wheel of a pickup that failed to stop for a semi at Five Points Road and U.S. 12 around 8:30 a.m.
The semi heading westbound collided with the pickup truck.
Stone was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the pickup truck, 48-year-old Donald Bardo of Union, was hospitalized after the crash. The semi driver, 50-year-old Robert Arnold of Sparta, was also hospitalized with injuries.
The crash remains under investigation tonight.
