KENT COUNTY, Mich (May 2, 2014) – Deputies continue to investigate a pedestrian accident that happened near a Walgreen’s on Thursday night.

Authorities say a Byron Township woman was pushing a stroller with three children inside near the Walgreen’s at 68th Street and Division Avenue just before 6:00 p.m.

Deputies say the mother of the children pushing the stroller saw the driver of a Jeep Cherokee stop, and proceeded to walk in front of the vehicle along the sidewalk.

Deputies say the jeep, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Marne, then pulled forward hitting the stroller, knocking two of the children to the ground.

Deputies say the children, ages 3, 1 and 5 months, weren’t hurt.  All three were taken to Devos Children’s Hospital as a precaution.

Authorities say speed isn’t a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation this morning.
