tulips2WEST MICHIGAN (May 4, 2014) — After a chilly start to the morning across West Michigan the sunshine returns and temperatures will slowly start to warm into the upper 50’s by afternoon. Winds will pick up throughout the afternoon and become gusty out of the northwest around 10 to 20 miles per hour. Winds off of a cold Lake Michigan will keep temperatures cool along the Lake shore.

A few clouds will move in overnight allowing temperatures to stay in the low 40’s in many areas however, some areas that see patchy clear skies will have temperatures drop into the upper 30’s by sunrise. A passing system overnight may bring the chance for some light patchy drizzle overnight but with a lack of moisture any rain that develops will be light and isolated.

High pressure builds in for the beginning of the next work week bringing abundant sunshine and warm temperatures. As we head into the end of the week we will be watching for the chance of some showers and thunderstorms but for the most part the new work week is looking fairly warm and dry.
