LAS VEGAS, NV. (May 4, 2014)- Dozens of people were injured in Las Vegas after a chaos erupts following the boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana Saturday night.

A battalion chief for the Clark County Fire Department said 24 people were taken to Las Vegas hospitals after a panicked crowd stormed out the doors of the MGM Grand Garden arena following the Mayweather-Maidana fight.

Witnesses say the stampede started when they heard a bang that sounded like a gunshot.  The sound was caused by a temporary wall that fell over.

A crowd of 300 – 400 boxing fans then ran from the arena area and into a narrow walkway leading to the casino and got crushed against walls and glass doors that shattered.

The injured range in age from young children to older adults.

No one suffered serious injuries.

Floyd Mayweather defeated Marcos Maidana by decision in their 12 round fight.
