GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Travelers out of West Michigan will soon be able to fly directly to Philadelphia and Charlotte and be able to take advantage of connecting flights out of those two hubs, American Airlines announced Monday.
New non-stop flights will begin September 3 with two direct flights a day to Philadelphia and Charlotte. The flights will not be branded as American Airlines flights, however: the added flights will be on US Airways Express using Bombardier CRJ jets, which have a capacity of 40 to 50 passengers.
American Airlines and US Air merged earlier this year.
