Goble died after police say he opened fire with a shotgun and they returned fire in a field near Hubbell Road and M-66.

He was being sought in connection with a domestic violence case, but officials say he took off when they caught up with him.

Goble’s criminal history includes a recent misdemeanor for attempting to interfere with electronic communications.  He pled guilty in that case April 24.

In 2005, he pled guilty to operating while intoxicated and fleeing and eluding police.  State records show he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and a year of probation for the fleeing and eluding charge.

Prior to that, he also pled guilty to possession of alcohol as a minor in 2002.
