GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids community organizations are coming together to launch a campaign to educate the public about options for those in need and to target panhandlers at intersections across the city.

It’s called Real Change Grand Rapids.  On its website, it says, “Look for ‘Real Change, Not Spare Change’ giving jars or visit realchangegr.org for more ways to give.  All proceeds go directly towards helping those in need.  Together we can make real change.”

The organizations listed on the site are Catholic Charities West Michigan, Degage Ministries, Guiding Light Mission, Dwelling Place, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., Family Promise of Grand Rapids, Heartside Ministry.

More details about the campaign will come to light later Monday.
