5 Counties Investigating Multiple Gas Thefts

FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Investigators from multiple law-enforcement agencies are working together on multiple gasoline thefts over the last several weeks.

Police in Mason, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana and Ottawa counties are trying to locate and identify the female shown in the accompanying surveillance picture and her vehicle — a blue four-door Chevrolet Impala.

They are believed to be involved in a number of larcenies of gasoline throughout the five-county area over a period of several weeks.

Police are asking for assistance from the public in trying to identify the female.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the female or the gasoline thefts is being asked to contact a detective assigned to this investigation by calling (616) 541-4145.
