GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 9, 2014) — A judge has granted a stay in the 10-day liquor license suspension at the B.O.B.
According to Judge George Buth’s office, attorneys for the B.O.B. filed an injunction Monday afternoon in Kent County Circuit Court. The suspension was set to begin Tuesday.
Attorneys for both the B.O.B. and the Michigan Liquor Control Commission will meet June 26th at 2 p.m. to discuss the matter further, according to Judge Buth’s office.
The B.O.B. was initially given a 3-day suspension following an investigation into a 2013 falling death. After their attorneys appealed the decision, they received a 10-day suspension.
“Although we continue to respect the MLCC’s position, the B.O.B. remains steadfast in its defense that we were and always will be in compliance with or exceed the standards set forth by the MLCC.,” a statement from a B.O.B. spokesman said.
