WEST MICHIGAN (June 13, 2014) Already a gorgeous but cool start to the Father’s Day Weekend. Thursday evenings cold front will help bring more comfortable conditions just in time for the weekend as temperatures and humidity drop.
Temperatures will start out slightly chilly Friday morning but warm throughout the afternoon into the mid to upper 60’s. Winds will become gusty throughout the early afternoon making it feel slightly cooler. Westerly winds will pick up between 10 to 20 miles per hour with gusts increasing to 30.
Skies will clear by late afternoon and early evening as a ridge of high pressure moves in. Clear skies and calming winds overnight will allow temperatures to drop overnight into the mid to upper 40’s. Despite the cool start to Saturday temperatures will slowly warm with afternoon high temperatures reaching into the mid 70’s.
Rain chances should hold off for a majority of the weekend, but a passing system Sunday will bring chances for thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening.
