ALLEGAN, Mich. (June 14, 2014) — Marilyn Page, 78, from Plainwell jumped from an airplane in Allegan on Saturday afternoon.

Page said that it has been on her bucket list for quite some time, and when her karaoke partner set it all up, she couldn’t resist.

“We are ready to roll!” shouted Page.

Page said that when her friends at Sky Dive Incorporated presented her with the opportunity, she showed up with enthusiasm.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, probably maybe 15 years. I just want to go up in the air and just look and see the earth from way up there and just see what the earth looks like,” said Page.

Page got a brief demonstration explaining what will happen once they reach one mile high in the sky.

“I’m going to push us out the door, and as soon as we exit the plane, as soon as our feet leave that step, we are going to go into the arch position,” said her instructor.

“Life is what you make it. You know, I mean God put me on this Earth and he probably wanted me to you know, live my life good,” said Page.

After saying her goodbyes on the ground, Page reached the point of no return.

Her instructor said that they would deploy a 400 square foot parachute once they reached 5,000 feet in the air. Page looked down at her loved ones, as she soared through the air.

When she finally reached the ground at the Allegan Airport, she couldn’t wait to get back up in the sky.

“That was utterly awesome,” said Page.

Page said that she plans to jump again soon.
