GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 22, 2014) — For years, media members in west Michigan have put aside their competition with each other to unite against a common foe on the softball field: Catholic priests from area parishes. Each and every year they play, and every year the priests win. It’s called ‘Let’s Go to Bat for Kids’, an annual fundraiser for Catholic Charities of West Michigan, and is held at Fifth Third Ballpark. This year’s game is Thursday June 26th, and has the added benefit of being FREE. Parking costs $6 and tickets must be reserved ahead of time on the Catholic Charities website.
