PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (June 25, 2014) – Federal investigators say Former Christian Radio Host, John Balyo, told them about a “bondage kit” he kept in a storage unit during an interview following his arrest for allegedly having oral sex with an 11-year-old boy in a Battle Creek Hotel Room.
According to a spokesperson with Homeland Security, investigators say they found duct tape, handcuffs, rope, zip-ties, and children socks inside the so-called “bondage kit.”
In addition, investigators say they also found a file containing reports of missing children along with sexually explicit photographs.
The discovery was made at the West River Storage Suites in Plainfield Township according to federal investigators.
The arrest of the former radio host was part of a larger human trafficking investigation. Police said Balyo found his victim by way of Ronald Moser of Battle Creek.
Homeland Security began the investigation of a foreign-based child pornography webpage on June 3, 2014.
A quick web-search of the alleged screen-names of Moser linked back to a Russia-based photo hosting website.
Police said the page contained sexual and nude images of boys. Federal investigators said Moser used phrases like, “Looking for people in or around Michigan that r in to kids.”

Investigators also found Moser had an account on OKCupid.com with his photo and the same email address connected to the child-porn website.
Battle Creek police said Balyo paid Moser to arrange the meeting with the 11-year-old victim at a hotel in the city.
Federal investigators said they know of only one victim, anyone with additional information is asked to visit www.ice.gov/tips
The 35-year-old radio host was arrested on Criminal Sexual Conduct charges. He is being held without bail on two-counts of criminal sexual conduct. He is expected back in court on Monday.
Moser is also being held in jail for sex crimes.
