GR Police Release Surveillance Photos After String of Armed Robberies

GRAND RAIDS, Mich. (June 26, 2014) — The Grand Rapids Police Department Thursday released surveillance photos of a suspect believed to be connected to as many as 10 armed robberies between April and June.

Police believe the incidents are related and are seeking the person pictured in these surveillance photos.  According to a release, there may be two suspects.

The first is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build.  The second is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.  The suspects wore hooded sweatshirts, bandanas and/or partial ski masks during the robberies, according to a release.

During one of the robberies, a suspect wore a shirt with the word “Nuggets” printed on the back.

According to a release, the businesses robbed include:

  • Our Food Mart, 423 Webster St. NW
  • Knapp Street Party Store, 701 Knapp St. NE
  • Miti Mini, 1210 Giddings Ave. SE
  • Sam’s Party Store, 1034 Bridge St. NW
  • Supermercado, 957 Davis St. NW
  • Speedway Gas Station, 1533 Leonard St. NE
  • Oliver’s Market, 1548 Kalamazoo Ave. SE
  • Guddis Corner, 1220 College Ave. NE
  • Ron’s Quick Stop, 1115 Bridge St. NW
  • Little Caesars Pizza, 1245 Leonard St. NW
