GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 26, 2014) – Grand Rapids Police are searching for at least two suspects after a string of armed robberies in the last two months.

There are at least 10 incidents police believe are connected throughout the city, all happening between April 13 and June 22.

Police say the thieves were on the hunt for cash and cigarettes, even taking personal belongings from customers at the stores.

The surveillance videos are terrifying to watch as a hooded, masked man with a gun gives orders to the man behind the counter.

“The guy came and put the gun at the customer’s head.” victim Marco Solis said.

Solis is not the only one who has had his life threatened in these crimes. Navjeet Singh had both suspects come into his party store. “One guy (stood) here and the other guy (stood) right there on the counter, they said, ‘Give us money,” Singh said.

Solis said he was afraid the suspect was going to kill him.

Police describe the suspects as black males with thin builds. One is 5’8” the other is 5’10.”

During many of the robberies, the suspect wore hooded sweatshirts, bandanas or partial ski masks.

In a screen shot from police, one suspect wore a distinctive shirt with the word “Nuggets” printed on the back, a possible reference to the NBA team.
