COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (July 3, 2014) — Sheriff’s deputies ended up getting into a struggle with a female suspect during a traffic stop, which resulted in a couple of arrests.

Shortly before midnight on Wednesday night, police pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on E. Main in Comstock Township.  As the deputies were attempting to detain the female driver for not having a valid license, she began to fight with them and tried to run off.

After a brief struggle, the woman was arrested.  Upon further investigation, she and a male passenger were found to be in possession of suspected narcotics.  She also had a felony warrant out of Van Buren County.  The suspect will now face multiple charges.

One deputy suffered a minor cut to the hand during the struggle.
