NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. (July, 8, 2014) — A motorcyclist has died, after hitting a deer in Beaver Township.
Michigan State Police at the Hart post responded to North Dickinson Road at 9:15 p.m. on July 7. The rider was heading south on Dickinson Road near Hayes Street when the motorcycle hit the deer. The rider was thrown from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider’s name has not been released pending family notification. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, and the rider was not wearing a helmet.
