Robinson in Hospital2KALAMAZOO, Mich. (July 10, 2014) – Family and friends of a local family in need are paying it forward, in hopes of making a terrible situation a little better.

Cheryl Robinson says her husband Dave was rushed to the hospital with a clot in his spine off his aorta on Sunday.

He was rushed into emergency surgery – and the couple has been told it’s a miracle he’s alive.

Cheryl says Dave is in the trauma ICU right now at Bronson Hospital.  He’s undergone blood transfusions after complications in surgery and is struggling to breath.  Cheryl says they were told there’s a 70% chance Dave won’t be able to walk again.

The couple was homeless just last year, after working for a home they now own. But Cheryl says they still live paycheck to paycheck and their electricity is set to be turned off Friday.  That’s why family and friends have startedthis fundraiserto try to prevent their power from being shut off.
