Driver identified after deadly crash in Allegan County

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich- Police have identified the driver killed in a deadly crash on July 12, 2014.

Investigators say 22-year-old Caleb Heath from Hersey, Michigan was killed after he failed to yield at an intersection in Salem Township on Saturday evening and went into the path of oncoming traffic.

The crash happened around 5 o’clock at 142nd Avenue and 26th Street. The passenger in Heath’s vehicle, along with the driver in the other car were both transported to hospitals in Grand Rapids for treatment.

Michigan State Troopers were assisted at the scene by personnel from the Salem Township Fire Department, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, and EMS crews from the Wayland area.
