KENTWOOD, Mich-  Two little girls in Kent County spent their Sunday afternoon making sure those cleaning up from the EF-1 tornado that hit earlier this month stayed hydrated during their efforts.

4-year-old Kendall and her sister, 9-year-old Taylor got the idea after watching people work hard last weekend.

“It got down to the end of the day, and they were like ‘dad can we come over next weekend and do a lemonade stand cause everyone looked really thirsty,'” said Jordan Somerville, the young girls’ father.

The tornado that touched down in southern Kent County on July 6th was on the ground for about 10 minutes. It caused more than four million dollars in damages.
