‘Big fire’ at Grand Rapids apartment building

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Fire Department was fighting a large blaze in an apartment building Thursday evening.

There was lots of smoke from the fire, which started at 6 p.m. in an apartment fire near downtownbuilding at Fourth and Davis. The Grand Rapids Fire Department described the flames as “a big fire.”

Everybody got out of the building safely and there were no injuries.

Neighbors told FOX 17 NEWS that a little boy started the fire.

FOX 17 NEWS has a crew at the fire and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
