KALAMAZOO, Mich – A teenager wanted in connection to another teen’s murder has turned himself in to authorities.

Kalamazoo Public Safety arrested DaQuan Pritchett, 18, on July 27, after he turned himself in at public safety headquarters.

Investigators had been searching for him in connection to the death of Christopher Lee Adams, 19, who died on July 23 following a shooting on Mt. Olivet Street. That night, investigators were dispatched to the 3200 block of that street after getting a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, everyone had already taken off.  A short time later, Adams arrived at Borgess Hospital with a gunshot wound, but he later died.

Pritchett is now facing open murder and felony firearms charges in the case.

Details surrounding that deadly shooting have not been released.

Anyone with information should call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 269-337-8994 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
