DOWAGIAC, Mich. – Family members of a Dowagiac woman are making a public plea to help bring their loved one home.

Rose Marie Morris said she was going for a walk when she left her house July 24 at around 7 p.m. in the 300 block of East Division Street in Cass County, according to her family.  She said she would be back in a couple of hours; however, she never returned home.  A police report was filed Sunday after she didn’t return to her family.

Rose Morris went missing from the 300 block of East Division Street, Dowagiac, Mich, on Thursday.

Morris’ brother told FOX 17 News late Monday evening that his sister is not currently in a relationship.  She grew up in Bangor  in Van Buren County.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department said a search was conducted on Monday. Details of the search were not disclosed to FOX 17 News.

Morris is the mother of two little boys and is described as 5’2″ with brown hair and brown eyes.

“She is a very loved mom, sister and friend,” said Britney Holmes, a friend of Morris. “This is very out of character for her to do this.  It’s been too long since she has been missing,”
