WYOMING, Mich. -- Dash cam video released Wednesday by Wyoming Police shows the car chase that ended with suspected Craigslist killer Brady Oestrike committing suicide.

Police believe Oestrike, 31, murdered 25-year-old Charles Oppenneer, 18-year-old Brooke Slocum and their unborn daughter.

The dash cam video from the evening of July 17 shows Oestrike speed off and later shows his vehicle crashed on the Burton Street overpass at US-131.

Police said Slocum was discovered in his trunk.  Autopsy results reveal that she had been strangled.

Oppenneer was found beheaded in a wooded area near Gezon Court July 16.   Police say his head was removed after his murder.

Investigators later recovered hundreds of pieces of evidence from Oestrike's home, including restraints, knives and several firearms.   Wyoming Police Chief James Carmody called his residence a "hellish environment."

The killings started after police say the couple posted a sex ad on Craigslist and arranged to meet Oestrike July 12 at Gezon Park.

During the course of their investigation, police revealed that they had been  to Oestrike’s home in May after reports he had been bragging at an Eastown bar about holding a woman captive in a suitcase.  That’s when theyfirst inspected his basement, which included bondage equipment and medieval memorabilia.

Though strange, there was no crime, and Oestrike’s weapons and basement remained in tact until the horrific murders of Oppenneer, Slocum and their unborn baby.

"Knowing what tormented him, knowing the bad dreams and bad things he saw in his dreams and the depth of pain in his poetry, I wasn't surprised that something traumatic and violent like this happened in his life,” Oestrike's ex-roommate Rachel Morris said in aninterview with FOX 17.

Morris said she moved out of Oestrike's home and told him to seek mental help after he began confessing some disturbing thoughts to her.

“He told me that he was having thoughts about killing me and that he was warning me,” she said.
