Two vehicle rollover crash in Ottawa County, five people injured; one critical

ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich.- Adams St. between 84th Ave. and 96th Ave. has  re-opened after a two vehicle rollover crash.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Adams St. and 88th Ave.  Deputies state that a black Pontiac with four people inside was slowing or stopped to make a left hand turn onto 88th Ave. when it was rear-ended by a woman driving a Chevy Equinox.

As a result of the crash the Pontiac spun out and the back end of it was crushed in. The Equinox then rolled over trapping the driver.

Five people were injured in the crash. The driver of the Equinox was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. One person in the Pontiac was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital via Aero Med and is listed in critical condition, while another person was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Two others in the Pontiac had minor injuries and were treated and released at the scene.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating this crash.
