GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Trevor is a 15-year-old who loves horseback riding, fishing, drawing and telling jokes. He says he dreams of having a family to share his passions with.

“I see my other friends having families and I’m like, gee, I wish that was me,” he said.

Trevor’s mother lost custody of him when he was eight. That’s when he entered the foster system and was separated from his siblings. Now, Trevor’s had seven years to dream about what it would be like to have a real family.

Trevor is a high school sophomore who is on the honor roll at school, and he says history is his favorite subject. Although, he gets good grades he definitely wouldn’t mind having parents or siblings to help him with his homework.

“I just want a family and a place to call home,” he said.

Trevor loves animals and hopes to make a career out of taking care of them. He says he’s easy to talk to and not afraid to admit when he’s wrong.

“If I do something wrong and they tell me that I did something wrong, I’ll make sure to fix it and so it doesn’t happen again,” Trevor says.

Those are promises for the forever family he has been searching for for so long; happiness and love for a teen who’s waited far years to not be alone.

“It would just mean a lot to me because I’ve been waiting for a family since I was 8,” he said.
