Tornado victims want refund; tree service didn’t do work

WYOMING, Mich. — A family living on Buchanan Avenue in Wyoming is seeking a refund from a tree cutting service.

Two trees were knocked down in the Reavis family’s backyard during the tornado in early July.

Adam Reavis said he hired Jeremy McMahan to cleanup the mess. McMahan owns Green-Again Tree Service.

Reavis and his wife paid McMahan $650 upfront for a $1,300 job. The couple showed the FOX 17 Problem Solvers the contract.

More than a month later, the stumps remain.

Watch the video for the full story and for McMahan’s response. We will continue to follow this story.

I used to work for him last year. He under pays his employees or doesn’t pay them at all. He still owes the crew I worked with and myself a lot of money.

Jeremy mcmahan has been taking care of my trees for a long time. I own several large commercial properties. Jeremy and his crew have been very professional over the years. I will continue to hire him because I know he is a good, hard working, honest man. I am not concerned about his record.

I am pretty sure I talked to you on the phone before, I believe you currently are or were an employee in the past. I know Jeremy has changed his tree company’s name a few times, one being “dead trees suck”…huh…smh

I live in the same area where the tornado went through. Many people are still waiting for tree work to be finished by many different companies. When a major disaster such as this tornado ,tree services and contractors can be booked for months. So it’s easy to fall behind schedule.
Mr. Mcmahan has been to my home 3 times since 2000 to do tree work. Including the most recent storm. I am more than happy with the work each time. I do not believe he would scam these people.
