Fox17 you left out some facts here in the shortest article I have ever seen on a shooting. #1 This didn’t occur after the football game. The game started at 7:15. That would mean that the game was an hour and 15 minutes or less. The shooting was reported about 8:30pm. And secondly you completely left out the fact that the shot was self inflicted. Let me dumb this down for you….HE SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT! You make it sound like someone in the area shot him.

Let me tell you something. You being a reporting agency to the public, people assume you have all the right information. And they want to believe you. So, people who weren’t standing anywhere near the scene like I was tend to believe that the “news” is right. I don’t know where you got your information from, but I have a copy of the report as well and it doesn’t match up with the information you provided. I would recommend doing some editing to this article and others before you make a bigger ass of yourself than you already have! And me explaining to you how to do your job is bigger than the aritcle you have written.

maybe this is how you should have written the article

The gun was recovered nearby and no other injuries were reported.

Thank you, Timothy, for giving us a clear picture of what really happened near, not at, Muskegon High as the headline lead us to mistakenly believe. It really upsets me when news agencies give half truths and leave out important details, like the fact that he shot himself. In this case, it served to make the Muskegon High School area sound dangerous. Get it together Fox 17 News. Maybe you should hire Timothy!
