COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich.- Kalamazoo County Sheriff Deputies are looking for a man who robbed a Walmart cashier early Saturday morning.
According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, a black male walked into the Walmart in the 6000 block of Gull Rd. and presented a pocket style knife to the cashier demanding money. When the clerk did not move fast enough the man poked her with the knife.
The man then fled the scene on foot.
A K-9 unit tracked the man from the store to an area where Deputies believe the man entered a vehicle and took off.
The suspect is described as a being a black male, approximately 40 years old, 6’0″ tall, weighing about 200lbs. The suspect was wearing blue pants, a tan t-shirt, work boots, a yellow and orange reflective construction style vest and a yellow hard hat. He was clean shaven and was said to have short braided hair.
Deputies believe the man may have left the area in a large pick-up truck with dual rear wheels.
It is unknown whether or not the man was able to get away with any cash or not.
