GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — The game of the week on the Blitz tonight is a rematch of a game of the week from last season when Grand Rapids Christian (1-0) travels to Muskegon (1-0). The Big Reds turned three turnovers into 21 points in less than minute at Eagle Stadium last year in a 35-13 win. Both teams are led by tremendous defenses and quarterbacks with something to prove. Shawn Pfenning was good for Muskegon last week but has a lot to live up to being the guy who replaces the graduated Deshaun Thrower. Meanwhile, Patrick Hall will get the start for GR Christian as junior Lukas Thompson is out for one week with a chest injury, Hall is good passer but due to off season surgery to repair a torn labrum and hasn’t thrown much.

Our Blitz Battle pits Caledonia (1-0) and South Christian (0-1) at Byron Center. These neighbors haven’t met in football the last two seasons. The Sailors are hoping to bounce back from a week one loss to GR Christian while the Fighting Scots want to build on a 48-7 win over Harper Creek last week.

Byron Center (1-0) has lost three straight years to Forest Hills Northern (1-0) but the Bulldogs are hoping to change that tonight. Schoolcraft travels to Constantine for an important battle in the fight for the final Kalamazoo Valley Association, it’s always entertaining when the Eagles and Falcons get together. You can see all of these games on the Blitz starting tonight at 10:30 PM plus:
