GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- It's something dog owners do every day: take their pet for a walk. Thanks to the Humane Society of West Michigan's 'Bark in the Dark' an evening walk can also help out some great animals - like Pepper - who are looking for a forever home.
The second annual event is held on October 11th and starts/finishes at the HSWM on Wilson in Grand Rapids. Cost is $30 and you are welcome to run or walk the 5k course with your dog, just make sure they are comfortable around other animals and large crowds. It's also asked that each animal is up on it's shots before attending.
