HOLLAND, Mich. -- Holland Public Safety Department detectives are investigating at least two cases of indecent exposure.

The first incident is said to have happened on Saturday at Washington Square. The second allegedly happened Tuesday afternoon near Black River School.

"An 11 year old girl was near Black River School when a man exposed his genitalia, made a sexual comment, and she ran and her parents called the police," Captain Jack Dykstra said.

Police released a still image taken from surveillance video that shows a Honda Civic that may belong to the suspect. The car is a dark-colored, four door and is a late 90s or early 2000 model. It has round brake or taillights.

Dykstra said this is a scary moment in which the girl made a smart move.

"Thankfully she did that, and did the right thing. So it's important for kids to remember and parents to remember to tell your kids, go to a safe place, go to a safe adult," Dykstra said.

"Go back into the school where you may be coming from, or into a home where you know they're safe people."

Police describe the suspect from Tuesday's incident as a heavy set, white man. He's 35 to 45 years old and about 5'10. They said he was wearing a red shirt, khaki shorts, and white tennis shoes.
