“Zip tie me:” Police seeking man dressed as woman who assaulted convenience store clerk

TEKONSHA, Mich. — A man in women’s clothing bearing a sign that said “Zip tie me” walked into the BP Snappy Food Mart on M-60 off I-69 and began to behave in strange ways that included inappropriately touching a clerk.

The incident began around 10 p.m. September 18, and detectives are seeking help from the public in the investigation.

The man was dressed in a black bra, a dark-colored woman’s tank top, jeans, and dark boots. On his chest was taped a sign that read, “I was picking on someone. Zip tie me.”

The man asked female clerks about duct tape and said he wanted them to tie him up with zip ties.

He then touched one of the clerks inappropriately.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office described the man as heavyset, about 5’8″, around 40 years old, and with dirty blonde hair and goatee.
