Search for suspects in K-zoo, police report ten car-thefts

KALAMAZOO, Mich.–Police are urging residents to lock their cars after several car-thefts happened during the weekend.

According to Kalamazoo Public Safety officers, over the course of Saturday and Sunday they investigated 10 Larceny from Motor Vehicle reports. They happened in the Oakland/Winchell neighborhood, as well as Howard, Stearns and Vine neighborhoods.

Stolen items included coins, electronics and other personal items. Police say that in every case, the cars were left unlocked by the owners. Witnesses say that the suspects were described as males wearing black hoodies, one carrying a backpack and one riding a bicycle.

Officers are advising people to not leave valuables in their cars, to lock them, and call if there is any suspicious activity. If you do have any information about these incidents, call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 269-337-8994.
