Michael Roersma
OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Michael Roersma is facing a lying to police charge in connection with the felony murder investigation of his mother, Sharon Roersma.
Roersma, 72, of Coopersville, was found dead Monday after being beaten to death and thrown into the Grand River.
Her son was being held on a probation violation prior to this new charge. Police say he is the primary suspect in her death, but the investigation is ongoing.
