TIFFIN, Ohio- A small town in northwest Ohio has a new officer, a 5-year-old boy.

5-year-old Nehemiah Hill, showed up at the Tiffin Police Department on Thursday during their afternoon shift change, according to the department’s Facebook page.

Nehemiah had his wheelchair transformed into one of the department’s police cruisers. He also had a uniform on. Officers gave him a tour of the station and Nehemiah wanted to sit in the front seat of a police cruiser. But officers told him that only officers were allowed to sit in the front seat of the  cruisers.

So the Tiffin Police Department made Nehemiah an honorary auxiliary officer for the day and gave him a framed oath of office.

“It was a wonderful experience for everyone working here yesterday afternoon,” says the Facebook post.
